The short version of this page is that we do EVERYTHING required to legally import and deliver your Factory Five Racing kit and save you money in the process! Your responsibility is to decide what you want and pay for it.  We do everything else! Details follow..

If you have spent any time at all looking at Kit cars you may well have run across the RIV web page that states “Kit Cars – None are Allowed”.

While in the strictest sense of the word that is true, it is possible to import starter kits into Canada and we have done so more than 400 times in our 14 years of operation.

Western Canada Cobras and our importing division, Specialty Car Parts Canada, have refined the process to a point that there are really only four things you need to do when you order a Factory Five kit car through us. These are as follows.

1 – Decide what options you want on your car.

(Signing up for the WCC Mail list using the blue panel on the right provides access to subscriber only spread sheets that you can use to configure and price your ideal car.)

2 – Pay us for what you ordered in Canadian dollars at the currency exchange rate in place on the day you pay.

.

3 – Be home when the freight company calls you to let you know that your kit is at the freight depot nearest to your location that we can find.

4 – Organize and pay for transport of your kit from the freight depot to your shop.

(This last step is usually done by hiring a local flat deck car carrier with a tilt deck. This allows the freight company to load the 1600 LB crate directly off the freight dock onto the truck and when he arrives at your shop he will slide the deck back and tilt it down thus allowing him to deposit the crate directly onto your shop floor).

By Working with us you do not have to deal with….

• The Federal DOT
• Canada Customs
• Canada Customs Border Staff
• Customs Brokers or
• Freight Brokers

Not only do you not have to deal with these folks, but we can save you money in the areas of freight and brokerage. We have used the same Freight and customs brokers for 14 years which results in maximum loyalty and volume discounts which we pass on to our customers.

Add to that the fact that as a Canadian company you are dealing in Canadian dollars and Our prices are Factory Five’s prices converted to Canadian dollars on the day you make your payment and  we do not charge a penny for our services (we get paid by virtue of buying your kit from FFR at a discount) and it all adds up to the fact that there really is a WCC advantage to dealing with us.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly on the rare occasions when the importation process falls off the rails we deal with which ever authority is causing the issue and resolve it regardless of what it takes or how long it takes and we absorb all related costs! So, for example,  if your kit needs to go into a bonded warehouse for 10 days while we sort out the problem that is on us. Our commitment to you is that we agreed on a price to legally deliver your kit to you and it is our responsibility to do so at the agreed upon price.
