T-56 – Originally produced for the Dodge Viper in 1992, the T-56 has become the transmission of choice for those wanting the pulling power of a numerically high geared differential AND reasonable cruising RPM at highway speeds. With overdrive fifth and sixth gears in ratios as high as .5 to 1 this transmission allows you to run 4.11 and higher differential gearing yet still maintain reasonable engine speed cruising down the highway. If you are going with a TREMEC transmission you will need a bell housing to match it up to your engine. Quick time produces two units for the 302 and 351 engines while both units work on either engine the 6065 is SFI approved for race use.  At 17 to 22 Lbs each are about half  the weight of typical competing products  The RM-6060 is a street rated bell housing far superior to the Ford factory unit in terms of protection in the event of a catastrophic clutch failure.  At the high end the RM-6065 is rated for and legal in any race car requiring a SFI 6.1 Certified bell housing. For added value these units come complete with the Clutch Pivot, Engine Plate and include different sized center rings as used for the TKO Series and T5 Input shaft Collars.

 ds-large  One of the most critical parts of your drivetrain is the driveshaft. It must be strong enough to take the torque your engine will be putting out and properly balanced for smooth running.
