[mbspremium slideshow=2 displaytime="3" slideshow="on" ]In 1995 Factory Five Racing was founded around the principle that if you had one of their kits and an 87 to 93 Mustang you had everything required to build your Cobra Replica except paint, tires and battery.

Fast forward to the present. Today if you want to build a MkIII Cobra Relica you can use any V8 powered Mustang from 1987 to 2004. Specifically you will remove, refurbish and install on the Cobra frame the following Mustang components.

If you choose not to go the donor route, Factory Five offers a – No Donor Required – option, but it is quite a bit more expensive to build your Cobra that way verses using components from a donor Mustang. From personal experience, having built two Cobras from donors I can tell you most emphatically that there is nothing wrong with going the donor route.
