The GTM while economical for the class of car it is, is a more expensive car to build than either the MkIII or the Type

65 Coupe. Factory Five estimates that the GTM can be built on a budget of $30,000 to $50,000 US dollars.

In talking to some of the guys that have built these cars in the US, actual build costs appear to be somewhat higher than that.

This is  particularily true if the builder wants to go first class on every aspect of the car.

In Canada we suggest you will want to add at least 50% to the US numbers due to the higher cost of virtually everything that goes along with carrying a Canadian passport. ;o)

Bottom line on the cost of building one of these cars is that it is largely in your control, If you shop effectivly for a donor, you could end up with all of the parts you require for a few thousand dollars verses the $17,000 plus US to go with all new parts.

Add to that the possibility of selling unused parts from the Corvette and you could end up with virtually all the donor parts required for your GTM at little or no cost at all!
