Model Cars
Before I was able to build my own Cobra Replica I purchased a poster of one and placed it where I would see it several times a day. I also purchased a Die Cast Model that replicated what I wanted to build.
While I could never prove it I firmly believe that these two items were in large part responsible for my finding a way to make that first car happen due to their subliminal influence on my thought processes around the project. Heck, even of that is all hokus pokus it is just neat to have these toys around the home or office and to this day I still have many Models of the AC Cobra in both places.
